The Corporate Governance Institute is a global leader in educational technology, dedicated to empowering the next generation of corporate leaders through dynamic, online, self-paced learning programs.
The Institute approached us with a unique challenge: to transform their extensive SCORM-based e-course into an engaging, bite-sized Zoom course designed to introduce potential students to the full curriculum, all within a tight two-month deadline. This initiative was aimed at expanding their student base by offering a compelling taste of the full learning experience.
The Process
Content Reduction and Design Strategy
With the full course already developed, our primary goal was to streamline the content, ensuring it remained both impactful and aligned with the client’s brand guidelines. Our focus was on distilling key insights while maintaining an engaging, visually appealing structure that would captivate prospective learners.
Storyboard Development
We kicked off by building a comprehensive storyboard in Google Docs. Each key section of the course was meticulously outlined and color-coded to clarify how each piece of information would be visually and interactively represented in the final slides.
Mock-ups
High-fidelity mock-ups were created using PowerPoint to speed up the process and ensure seamless collaboration. At Doodlio, we emphasize not only visual design but also the user experience. PowerPoint allowed us to quickly iterate and gain client approval while keeping a strong focus on interaction design. Once approved, we moved swiftly into full development.
Development and Refinement
The development phase closely followed our mock-ups, with additional infographics created to convey complex information in digestible, bite-sized pieces. After an initial review phase, we refined the content, adjusting text and images, and fine-tuning animations to ensure a smooth and polished final product. With continuous feedback and iteration, we delivered the project on time, meeting the two-month deadline.
